As Oliver is able to spend more time as his true self, often with Darcy, part of him dares begin to hope that his dream of love and life as a man could be possible. But suitors are growing bolder—and even threatening—and his mother is growing more desperate to see him settled into an engagement. I loved this book. I finished it over the course of about two days because I couldn't put it down or read anything else. I love the perspective this story brings. I love how brave and smart and sassy and just downright loveable Oliver is. I came for the dedication line, and the whole book took me in. This is a book that I wish I could read again for the first time. The writing and perspective of this story gave me so much insight into a very possible experience of a trans person, and for that, I am so grateful. I highly recommend this book. Even if you're not specifically looking for a queer story, this is a loving homage to Jane Austen's original.

Most Ardently is a stunning masterpiece. I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not when I purchased it but I was pleasantly surprised. This beautiful retelling of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice is a gorgeously written LGBTQ+ affirmative novel. I loved the way trans boy Oliver, dead name Elizabeth, is portrayed. This book warms the soul!! Thank you author!!
